Microsoft Exchange has confirmed that the EA account for the game Brokerage Account has been removed from its server.
The account has been deleted due to a bug, Microsoft spokesperson Brad Anderson told Kotaku.
Anderson did not elaborate on why the account was removed, but it is not clear why Microsoft would need to delete an account that is used by millions of customers for the same purpose.
The account was created on October 30, 2016.
Microsoft’s servers have not been affected.
Microsoft has not said how many users use the account.
Microsoft and EA have been working on the next installment of The Sims 4.
Microsoft announced earlier this year that the game was being released in March 2019.
The Sims 3, a free-to-play, single-player game, is set to arrive in 2018.
