Microsoft is launching a new ID feature that will let users shop on the web using their Microsoft account.
The online ID will let people shop at Amazon.com, Google.com and the likes using their account credentials.
The feature, dubbed the Microsoft Account Login Online, will be available for people to use as early as Tuesday.
It’s a significant change for Microsoft, which has long struggled to convince consumers to pay more for online services like Amazon.
The company’s digital presence has always been a key part of its identity strategy.
The company’s online services, such as Windows, Office, Xbox and Bing, are all built on the Microsoft Cloud.
Microsoft says it’s making this a central pillar of its business, but it’s often criticized for not making enough money off of its cloud services.
